Care instructions for your new yarn:

The Green Button Jar yarns are dyed in small batches in our home dye studio. Hand dyed yarns are unique and you should except some variation within dye lots and batches due to the nature of the dyeing process. When possible we have provided a swatch to give you an idea of how colours may pool or develop in your knitting, but when worked up skeins may differ from these samples – this is the nature of hand dyed yarn. If you plan on knitting a larger project that requires several skeins of yarn, we recommend alternating skeins every few rows to ensure a consistent colour in your project.

We photograph our yarns in natural in-door light. Please keep in mind that computer settings and screens do vary.

Our hand dyed yarns are rinsed after the dye process, but some light bleeding may still occur – especially on highly pigmented and darker dye lots. Hand wash your knit items separately in cool water with a good wool wash. We recommend a no-rinse wool wash with lanolin (such as Eucalan) which will condition your hand knitted items and ensure they are heirlooms, treasured by the next generation.
